Spectrum Analyzer Devices
Spectrum analyzer (in English: Spectrum analyzer) can be briefly defined as a “passive receiver.”
It connects to the communication system to be analyzed and displays the passing signals without interfering with them. Thus, by analyzing electrical signals, information about the performance of the communication system can be obtained. With the help of a spectrum analyzer, we can identify the source of the problem and take an important step toward resolving it.
Types of Spectrum Analyzer
Spectrum analyzers are available on the market in two forms: portable models and fixed desktop models.
- Portable spectrum analyzer
- Fixed spectrum analyzer
The screen of the spectrum analyzer is divided into squares. Depending on the selection, the squares can represent: frequency range, voltage value, span, or time.
Do not use DC voltage at the input of the spectrum analyzer. Otherwise, you may damage the device. If the system you connect to transmits DC voltage, use a “DC Block.”
Here are the types of spectrum analyzers commonly used:
1. Analog spectrum analyzers
2. Digital spectrum analyzers
3. Real-time spectrum analyzers (RTSA)
4. Swept Tuner spectrum analyzers
5. Fourier Transform spectrum analyzers
6. Portable spectrum analyzers
7. USB spectrum analyzers
