The signal generator is generally used as a signal source in the testing of receivers. This generator system can periodically produce different waves in sinusoidal, square, triangular, or random waveform shapes. The signal generator plays an active role in producing waves of the desired length and quantity needed by users.
The wavelengths produced by the signal generator need to be within a certain range. Accordingly, the frequency of the generated waves can be between 0.2Hz and 2MHz. In its most basic sense, the signal generator is frequently used in testing receivers and amplifiers.
You can use this generator system in wave detectors and radio frequency bridges. Generally, signal generators consist of five different sections. There are three types of modulation systems in signal generators. These appear as square wave, sine wave, and triangular wave. In some cases, microwave signal generators can be used instead of square wave modulation.
Signal generators come with support for button number 6. In addition, there are various buttons for different functions and power on/off. You can easily use signal generators with the guide provided with the products.
Function of the Buttons on the Signal Generator
Frequency Display
The signal generator has an 8-digit liquid crystal display. This screen, called the frequency display, shows the increase and decrease of frequency values. You can also monitor the button tests on the same screen.
Amplitude Display and RF Output Socket
The amplitude display on the generator allows you to see the detected reflected power. The RF output socket provides AC output via an N-channel socket.
RF OFF / ON Switch
This switch system, which has two positions, controls the output of the RF signal. When in the ON position, the RF output signal is given; in the OFF position, the RF signal output is cut off.
Data Entry Buttons
Frequency and amplitude values can be selected using the data entry buttons.
Value Increase Button
You may need to increase frequency and amplitude values. You can perform this operation with the value increase button keys.
Modulation Buttons
You can use the modulation buttons to select the desired modulation and make fine adjustments.
Modulation Input/Output Socket
The BNC socket is used for external modulation signals and internal modulation signals.
